Randy Jones has joined Travel Channel as director of programming, where he will manage the development and production of series and specials for the network.
Jones was previously a developer and showrunner, supervising several Scripps Networks Interactive programs. Most recently, he worked on the Kid Chef Nation pilot for Food Network. He also produced content for ABC, CBS, A&E, History, TLC, Animal Planet and Logo.
Jones began career on the series Wife Swap. He went on to direct Undercover Boss and created the format and pilot for A&E's Bad Ink.
Jones will report directly to Neil Regan, VP of programming.
"Randy is a masterful storyteller who has a keen eye for casting and is uniquely talented in directing new talent in the field," said Regan, in a statement. "I am beyond excited to bring Randy's deep skill set, roll-up-your-sleeves instincts, collaborative spirit and infectious enthusiasm to Travel Channel."
